The Heinz School is committed to making a graduate education affordable for talented students. No separate application is necessary. Students who note in the application for admission that they would like to be considered for financial aid will be automatically considered for any applicable scholarship opportunity. Carnegie Mellon University-AusAID Scholarships
Carnegie Mellon University-AusAID Scholarships are funded by the Australian Government to support a limited number of students from countries where Australia has a bilateral aid program, to study at the university's Heinz School in Adelaide, Australia. These scholarships are available to full time students.
Scholarship benefits include full tuition, return economy airfares, a contribution to living expenses, and basic medical insurance. Applicants must satisfy both AusAID's general eligibility criteria and the specific criteria established for their country of citizenship.
A detailed listing of eligible countries, criteria (general eligibility and country specific), and scholarship benefits can be found by visiting the AusAID website.
Applications for the January 2009 intake are now being accepted (the closing date for AusAid applications is the 30/06/08.) Carnegie Mellon University-AusAID Scholarships are only available to students who have already been offered a place at Carnegie Mellon University.

The NOHA European Master's in International Humanitarian Action has been selected by the European Commission among the first Erasmus Mundus masters courses for five years. This implies that the European Commission will grant scholarships to highly qualified third-country graduate students and scholars to students to follow the NOHA Mundus Masters Course, to scholars to carry out teaching and research assignments and scholarly work in the NOHA universities participating in the Course.
Third-country graduate student
Third-country graduate student means a national of a third country other than those from EEA-EFTA States and candidate countries for accession to the European Union; who has already obtained a first higher education degree; who is not a resident of any of the Member States or the participating countries (EEA-EFTA States and EU candidate countries for accession); who has not carried out his or her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the Member States or the participating countries.
The amount of the student grant is EUR 35, 600. Each grantee will receive EUR 1,600 each month for living costs during the 16 months duration of the program plus a fixed amount of EUR 10,000 to be paid in two instalments of EUR 5,000 each per year.
Third-country students eligible for receiving an Erasmus Mundus scholarship fall into two different categories: one general category in which grantees can come from any third country and one specific category ("Asian windows") in which funds are earmarked for nationals from specific Asian countries.
With regard to the general category NOHA consortium will reserve a 13 to 18 places for third-country students and 3 to 4 places for third-country scholars every year.
With regard to the specific category ("Asian windows") the NOHA consortium will have the possibility to select 8 or 9 additional Asian students every year.

Screening and Admission Procedures
The screening process will be based upon the evaluation of all documentation and, if necessary, on personal interviews conducted by the University of Tsukuba representatives in the countries of the candidates. Between twenty five and thirty candidates will be pre-selected by the Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship Program Committee at the University of Tsukuba, in a process that will be completed by november 2008.
The World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank will further screen the pre-selected applicants for the sake of the granting of scholarships. The final selection of scholarship recipients (fifteen from the World Bank and no less than two from the Inter-American Development Bank) will be announced in late December 2008.
Selected candidates are expected to arrive in Tsukuba at the end of March 2009 for final interviews and orientation. Those pre-selected candidates who did not receive a scholarship and want to study at the University of Tsukuba must pay admission and tuition fees (at least for half a year) before they are formally admitted into the Program.The Program will begin on April 1, 2009.

NOMA is a programme providing financial support to develop and run Master Degree Programmes in cooperation between higher education institutions in the South and corresponding institutions in Norway. NOMA financed by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
The overall aim of the NOMA is to contribute to the education of staff in all sectors in Norway`s main development cooperation countries* and other selected countries through building capacity at the Master level in higher education institutions in the South.
Masters programmes supported through NOMA are established and developed in the South in close collaboration with Norwegian institutions. The needs and priorities of the countries in the South is the basis for cooperation between the partners in the South and in Norway.

The Norwegian Quota Scheme is a funding scheme offered by the Norwegian Government to students from developing countries, Central and Eastern Europe, and former Soviet states for studies at institutions of higher education in Norway. This funding scheme aims at offering specially designed, research-based Master's Degrees taught in English. The Quota Scheme also offers funding for Ph.D.-programmes and a one-year course in advanced Norwegian Language. Quota Scheme applicants should come from universities/institutions with formal cooperation agreements with the University of Oslo.
Who May Apply?
Applicants for admission under the Quota Scheme must fulfill certain criteria in order to be considered for admission. Admission is limited and therefore extremely competitive.
Nationality
Only applicants from countries included in the list of countries eligible for Quota Scheme funding will be considered. Please note that applicants who live in another country than their country of citizenship, either temporary or permanently, cannot apply. Applicants must have lived at least one year in their home country before they apply. Applicants from an eligible country, who are residing in another country on the list, may in some cases be considered. Quota Scheme students are expected to return home on completion of their studies in Norway.
Institutional Cooperation
Applicants should come from institutions with which the University of Oslo has a cooperation agreement. Potential applicants should check with their home institution to determine whether they have a cooperation agreement with the University of Oslo.

course tuition fee for two years for a Masters by Research and three years for a Doctoral degree; and
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the recipient and their dependants for the duration of the award.
In addition, all successful applicants will receive a Curtin University Postgraduate Scholarship (CUPS) valued at $20,007 (2008 value). This tax-free stipend is indexed annually.
An extension of up to two (2) semesters (one semester at a time)is available where applicants can demonstrate delays to their research caused by circumstances beyond their control and related to their research rather than due to personal reasons.

Deadline for applications

The allocation process
After a period of 1 August 2008, the group DMU representatives (one panel at the faculty) will meet to assess all of the works. All successful applicants who were awarded scholarships will be notified by e-mail and letters (regular mail) before September 1, 2008. £ 2000 scholarships will be deducted from the total training fee of successful candidates, when you arrive for training at DMU. Detailed information on successful recipients will be available from Maria Kyrris at internationalscholarships@dmu.ac.uk after September 10, 2008, if required.
Rule
Status only overseas students have the right to apply for scholarships.
Both self-funding and sponsored students have the right to apply for participation.
There is no alternative will be offered cash and scholarship can not be transferred to any other course in DMU or to any other nominated beneficiary.
Valid only for entry in September 2008 (or between September 2008 and June 2009 for research applicants) - scholarships can not be postponed from filing until September 2009 or later.
For foreign students who are also entitled to 5% discount for early payment of their assessed contributions in full in applications, £ 2000 Scholarship will be deducted from the first full contribution, then 5% discount from the fee reduction.
These scholarships will be awarded in conjunction with any other scholarship, such as scholarships for graduates of 2008 - students can receive a scholarship DMU only, as a rule, one of greater value.
If the applicant is available scholarships, and then withdraw their application, or do not sign up for the course for any reason, scholarship is revoked.
University reserves the right to withdraw scholarships, fellowships or not to provide, at any time before they are distributed.

If you want to apply for international scholarships, you should have received your letter and your essay proposal submitted before August 1, 2008 . No essays received after this date will be accepted under any circumstances.

The allocation process
After a period of 1 August 2008, the group DMU representatives (one panel at the faculty) will meet to assess all of the works. All successful applicants who were awarded scholarships will be notified by e-mail and letters (regular mail) before September 1, 2008. £ 2000 scholarships will be deducted from the total training fee of successful candidates, when you arrive for training at DMU. Detailed information on successful recipients will be available from Maria Kyrris at internationalscholarships@dmu.ac.uk after September 10, 2008, if required.
Rule
Status only overseas students have the right to apply for scholarships.
Both self-funding and sponsored students have the right to apply for participation.
There is no alternative will be offered cash and scholarship can not be transferred to any other course in DMU or to any other nominated beneficiary.
Valid only for entry in September 2008 (or between September 2008 and June 2009 for research applicants) - scholarships can not be postponed from filing until September 2009 or later.
For foreign students who are also entitled to 5% discount for early payment of their assessed contributions in full in applications, £ 2000 Scholarship will be deducted from the first full contribution, then 5% discount from the fee reduction.
These scholarships will be awarded in conjunction with any other scholarship, such as scholarships for graduates of 2008 - students can receive a scholarship DMU only, as a rule, one of greater value.
If the applicant is available scholarships, and then withdraw their application, or do not sign up for the course for any reason, scholarship is revoked.
University reserves the right to withdraw scholarships, fellowships or not to provide, at any time before they are distributed.

PhD Research Scholarship
Launched in November 2005, the SEARCA PhD Research Scholarship provides financial support to a limited number of qualified PhD students whose researches are relevant to the priority thrusts of SEARCA.
This scholarship program aims to:
Provide PhD students the opportunity to use the resources and facilities available at SEARCA and its network of universities for their research;
Produce quality research papers for publication; and
Enable them to work with SEARCA's R&D personnel on mutually identified areas of concerns/interests in agriculture and rural development.
Eligibility for the Grant
Any graduate student who is a citizen of any SEAMEO member country and pursuing a PhD in agriculture or related sciences from any university in the world is eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The applicant must have already completed his/her course work with an approved dissertation proposal and is ready to conduct the dissertation research.The applicant’s research must focus on any of SEARCA’s priority thrusts under the broad themes of natural resource management and promotion of agricultural competitiveness.

Recommendation letter from the Dean of Graduate School of the university where the student is pursuing his/her degree program;
Dissertation research outline/proposal approved by the Advisory Committee and Dean of Graduate School;
Budgetary requirement for the entire research duly attested and recommended by the major adviser and Dean of Graduate School;
Certified transcript of academic records for all courses taken at the PhD level;
Curriculum vitae;
Letter from the student certifying that he/she is not receiving any other research grant from any other institution. If partial funding has been obtained from other sources, a certification from the funding agency indicating the amount of grant and the items in the research that are covered by the grant; and
Research timetable indicating the activities involved in the research, the expected date of defense and expected date of seminar paper presentation.

MS/PhD Scholarships
Its people are Southeast Asia’s most potent force for progress. Hence, agricultural human resource development has been SEARCA’s primary goal since its establishment. SEARCA is one of the "centers of excellence" established by SEAMEO. As such, SEARCA assists SEAMEO member countries in producing highly trained human resources in agriculture and related sciences to accelerate agricultural and rural development in Southeast Asia.
Two of SEARCA's activities that carry out this mandate are the Graduate Study Program and the University Consortium. Both activities are handled by the Graduate Scholarship Department (GSD).
This degree scholarship was initiated in academic year 1968-69 and aims to ensure the relevance and responsiveness of Southeast Asia's agricultural scientists and professionals to global sustainable development issues.
The program provides support for advanced studies leading to the MS and PhD degrees in agriculture, forestry, and related fields. Thus, SEARCA aims to prepare grantees for positions of leadership in developing economies of SEAMEO member countries.

Benefits and Privileges
The SEARCA scholarship offers the following benefits and privileges:
Financial Support covers stipend, tuition, international and domestic travel allowances, thesis/dissertation support, book allowance, and health insurance. The domestic travel allowance is sometimes allowed to support registration fees in training courses/seminars/workshops.
Discounted Accommodation. Scholars are encouraged to stay at the SEARCA Residence Hotel (SRH) to meet other graduate students of different nationalities. Scholars who bring their families with them can stay in SEARCA apartments, also at subsidized rental fee.
Assistance with Student Visa Processing. The Center takes care of processing the extension of its scholars' student visas for the duration of their scholarship.
Computer Purchase Loan. This is given to scholars without interest and payable to the Center in a specified number of months through automatic stipend deduction.
In-house and Other Training Courses or Seminars. Scholars may avail of these training courses upon request, especially in fields related to their studies. Official functions like the weekly SEARCA Agriculture and Development Seminar Series are also open to them. They are, therefore, exposed to exchange of ideas outside their classrooms.
Use of SEARCA Facilities. Facilities open to SEARCA scholars are the Center’s Library and Email Room. Scholars studying at UPLB are given free SEARCA e-mail accounts and e-mail access.
Participation in Sociocultural Activities. SEARCA scholars are introduced to the SEARCA family through orientation/welcome party. Being part of the SEARCA family, they are invited to the Center's summer outing, sportsfest, anniversary celebration, and Christmas parties.
Counseling. Scholars who are experiencing academic difficulties and those with personal problems may seek guidance from the Graduate Scholarship Department.

Application Procedure
Any interested national of a SEAMEO member country may apply for scholarship. Applications may be submitted to any one of the following Ministries of his/her own country:

Application forms and information brochures on the universities that may serve as study posts of SEARCA scholars are available at these Ministries.
Each applicant is required to submit the following documents:
SEARCA Scholarship Application Form (2 copies);
Application forms for admission to the Graduate School of the universities where the applicant may pursue graduate studies under SEARCA scholarship;
Official transcript of academic records of each degree completed (BS transcript for MS applicants and BS and MS transcripts for PhD applicants);
Certification of employment;
A two-page write-up on agricultural competitiveness or natural resource management;

Two copies of passport-size pictures of the applicant;
Certification from a medical doctor that the applicant is in good physical and mental health condition and is fit to undertake graduate studies;

Results of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): score of 550 for paper-based and 213 for computer-based) or IELTS results (6.0). Research
Endeavour Research Fellowships provide financial support for postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows from participating countries to undertake short-term research (4-6 months), in any field of study, in Australia. Aimed at building international linkages and networks, these Awards provide opportunities for award holders to further develop their knowledge and skills.

Vocational education and training
An Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Award enables you to study a vocational course at the Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree level in any field of study in Australia.
Vocational education and training provides occupational or work-related knowledge and skills. The courses are directly related to the trade, occupation or 'vocation' in which you participate and exclude degree and higher level programs normally delivered by universities.

Professional Development
Endeavour Executive Awards provide professional development opportunities for high achievers in business, industry, education or government from participating countries.
This award provides you with the flexibility to design a program that advances both your professional and personal goals. In consultation with your host organisation, the one to four month program may include activities such as a shadowing program, work placement, attendance at a conference, participation in a short course, or peer-to-peer learning.
Student Exchanges
The Australian Government recognises the many enduring benefits of international exchanges undertaken during the years of undergraduate education. To encourage greater student mobility, the Australian Government funds Australian higher education providers to subsidise the costs to students participating in student exchanges which include tuition fee waiver and credit transfer.
Only Australian higher education providers are eligible to apply for funding for international student exchange programmes.
Students (Australian and international) wishing to apply for student subsidies available under these international student exchange programmes should contact the International Office of their institution.

EMTTLF - European Master's in Transnational Trade Law Finance
Title of the Masters Course:
EMTTLF - European Master's in Transnational Trade Law Finance
Duration: 2 years
Course description:
The course in Transnational Law and Finance contains 120 ECTS credits that the students will
follow in two academic years and in three of the four participating institutions.
The Programme offers one year of core courses, which provide the fundamental competencies
at an advanced level, needed to be able to confront trans-national trade cases. The itinerary is
built in a complementary manner starting with the University of Deusto that will focus on the
European set up, and moving forward to a more comparative and worldwide approach in the
case of Tilburg.
1st Component. (Deusto)
In relation to methodology this semester sets the bases of problem solving and analytical
thinking at an advanced level counting on the cooperation and relevant case studies offered by
representatives of International Organizations dealing with experience in the field of
international transactions.
In relation to the contents developed, the Master begins offering a view of the main
achievements of those Organizations as well as an analysis of the main European Union
Instruments in Private International Law relevant for Trans-national Trade.
2nd component. (Tilburg)
During this period, the students move from the European level to the International context. The
international and comparative focus prepares them for working in international and emerging
markets. Also they begin having an option that prepares them to choose the specialization in
the coming year.
For the second year three specialization areas offered: Law and Finances in the Institute of Law
and Finance in Frankfurt University and European Business Law and Industrial and Intellectual
Property in the Robert Schumann Strasbourg University.
The Programme presents therefore two important elements:
The core courses that must be followed by all the students. This part of the Master offers every
European or non-European student the necessary tools for the analysis of Trans-national trade
operations.
The specialization in which the students can choose and the professional or research path.
The course also offers linguistic and thematic preparatory courses.
3rd Component: Specializations.
The third component gives the students the possibility of deepening their knowledge in three
different fields of study, European Business Law; Finance, and Industrial and Intellectual
Property.
The students, that will be able to choose between the professional and research path, will be
divided in three groups that will follow 60 ECTS either in Frankfurt or in Strasburg.
4th Component: Research/internship
The forth semester includes the forth component of the Programme: Research/internship
According to prior experience and future professional paths, master students will be able to
choose the balance between two elements.
The research component aims at professionals able to:

·Analyse data and asses results
